Eugène Galien Laloue
Reading some recent postings on Gurney Journey, I came across the impressive works of Eugène Galien-Laloue, an artists from the Impressionism movement of the late 19th and early 20th century.
His gouache plain air painting are of excellent dynamism. I like the large number of human shaped distributed evenly on the paper, all as if moving along the buildings and static shaped rendered in one point perspective as it can be seen on The statue of Etienne Marcel outside the hotel-de-Ville or Paris Porte Saint-Denis next
